Ammar Asmro

Ammar Asmro is a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer at Bloomberg since April 2025, focused on enhancing user experience through code generation technology. Concurrently, Ammar serves on the Community Committee for MLOps Learners, organizing events that facilitate collaboration on machine learning systems. Previous roles include a Software Engineer at Amazon, and multiple positions at AltaML, ranging from Machine Learning Developer to Lead Machine Learning Developer. Ammar's career began as an Online Tutor at Chegg Inc., addressing software development concepts. Earlier experiences include a trainee position at DNO ASA, specializing in electrical and instrumentation, and a role as a photographer for UNICEF, capturing impactful stories. Ammar holds a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering and Intelligent Systems from the University of Alberta and has completed nanodegrees in Deep Reinforcement Learning and Natural Language Processing from Udacity. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering was obtained from the University of Duhok, along with participation in the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program at Virginia Commonwealth University.
