Brad Balfour

Brad Balfour is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in various technical roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer and founding member of the Search & Personalization team at Bloomberg since June 2015, Brad has played a significant role in enhancing site search functionalities and supporting internal tools. Brad also owns Memorable Montages, creating tailored video presentations, and operates Brad Balfour Photography, specializing in event, portrait, and travel photography. Prior to Bloomberg, Brad held senior engineering positions at Advanced Micro Tech, Bscopes, Inc., and Objective Interface Systems, contributing to notable projects including FAA air traffic control updates and innovative web applications. Brad began a career in technology at CACI, leading early website development, and accumulated a substantial portfolio of achievements from an early stage in the software engineering field, including significant contributions at EVB Software Engineering. Brad earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 1984.
