Jill Prather-Cowart

Jill Prather-Cowart has been working in the education field for over 17 years. Jill began their career in 2003 as a Teacher of Gifted Students for the Zachary Community School System. In 2007, they took on two roles at Parkview Baptist School, as Assistant Headmaster of Elementary Division and Academic Dean. That same year, they also began working for the Louisiana Association of Independent Schools as Vice President of Professional Development & Membership. In 2014, they joined the Louisiana Department of Education as Assistant Superintendent of Academic Content and Director of Math and Science. In 2020, they began their current role as Head of Education Content Development for BloomBoard, Inc.

Jill Prather-Cowart earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2001. Jill then went on to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) in Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana State University, which they completed in 2003. Additionally, they hold a National Board Certified certification.
