Valentina Barboy

Valentina Barboy has a diverse work experience. In 2011, they were a student at the Computer Science Summer Institute, a student at the International Mathematics Summer School for Students, and a Grader at Art of Problem Solving. In 2012, they were a Course Assistant at the Mathematics Department and a Software Engineering Intern at TripReactor. In 2013, they were a Lab TA at the Computer Science Department and an Engineering Practicum Intern at Google. In 2014, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Google. In 2015, they were a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies. Finally, in 2016, they were a Software Engineer at BloomBoard, Inc., where they notably reduced time-outs by optimizing image sizing to speed up page loads, and migrated reporting infrastructure to Redshift and optimized PSQL queries.

Valentina Barboy attended Needham High School from 2008 to 2011. Valentina then went on to earn a Bachelor of the Arts in Computer Science from Princeton University from 2011 to 2015.
