Tom Lutz

Tom Lutz is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Detective in the Crime Scene Unit and Detective Liaison at the Bloomfield Police Department since January 2022. Lutz has been a Police Officer with the Bloomfield Township Police Benevolent Association since September 2004. From August 2016 to October 2019, Lutz worked as a Police Detective with the New Jersey State Police, specializing in the Auto Theft Task Force. Additionally, Lutz has prior experience as a Police Dispatcher with the Township of Mahwah and the Town of Secaucus. Lutz holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Bergen Community College and has completed secondary education at Elmwood Park High School and Secaucus High School.
