Senior Biomedical Signal Processing Engineer at Bloomlife

Eleonora Sulas is a biomedical signal processing engineer at Bloomlife Inc since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Oticon Medical from November 2019 to June 2022 as a Scientist, focusing on improving physiological signal acquisition and post-processing for cochlear implant signals. Eleonora also worked as a PHD student at Università degli Studi di Cagliari from October 2016 to February 2020, where they developed a new fetal ECG open dataset. Eleonora also has experience as a self-employed embedded engineer, designing and developing electronic systems for pressure measurement in smart garments and heart/respiration rate measurement with real-time signal processing. Additionally, they worked as a teacher assistant of Signal Theory and as a guest PHD student at Eindhoven University of Technology, analyzing fetal electrocardiography recordings. Eleonora also gained experience as a biomedical engineer during their internship at Tyndall National Institute, where they implemented a drug delivery system using microneedles. Finally, they worked as an orientation tutor for biomedical engineering students at Università degli Studi di Cagliari.

Eleonora Sulas completed their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Università degli Studi di Cagliari from 2011 to 2014. Eleonora then pursued an Erasmus Plus program during their M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering at University College Cork from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a Laurea Magistrale LM in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino from 2014 to 2016. Prior to their bachelor's degree, Eleonora obtained their Italian secondary school diploma, Maturità Scientifica, from Liceo Scientifico "Mariano IV d'Arborea", located in Oristano, Italy, during 2006 to 2011.
