Michaela Mahlberg is an esteemed academic in the field of Digital Humanities and Corpus Linguistics, currently serving as the Alexander-von-Humboldt Professor at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg since April 2024, and as an Honorary Professor and Chair in Corpus Linguistics at the University of Birmingham since September 2015. Additionally, Michaela Mahlberg holds the position of Director of Research and Knowledge Transfer for the College of Arts and Law at the University of Birmingham. With extensive editorial experience, Michaela Mahlberg has been the Editor of the International Journal of Corpus Linguistics for John Benjamins Publishing Company since January 2007 and a Co-editor of the 'Corpus & Discourse' book series for Bloomsbury Publishing Plc since 2002. Previous academic roles include Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University of Nottingham and Associate Professor in English Language and Applied Linguistics at the University of Liverpool.
