Strawberrie Donnelly has extensive experience in the publishing industry, primarily working as an art director and designer for various children's book companies. Strawberrie started their career at HarperCollins Children's Publishers as a freelance designer in 1992 before moving to Puffin Children's Books in the same role. Strawberrie then joined Macmillan Children's Books as a senior designer, specializing in picture and gift books. After that, Donnelly worked at Little Tiger Press as an art director for picture and gift books. Strawberrie then joined Igloo Books in 2013 as an art director for children's publishing before transitioning to Scholastic Children's Books in 2015, where they worked as an art director for picture books and pre-school. Currently, Donnelly holds the position of Art Director for Picture Books and Illustrated Fiction at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc since 2019.
Strawberrie Donnelly completed their education in a chronological order. Strawberrie first attended Croydon College from 1987 to 1989, where they obtained a National Diploma in Graphic Design. Strawberrie then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Central Lancashire from 1989 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Graphic Design. Additionally, during this period, they completed a degree with the same title at the same institution. Lastly, from 1994 to 1996, Donnelly attended the University of Brighton, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Narrative Illustration and Sequential Design with a field of study in Publishing Design.
