John C. Vernaleo has over 18 years of work experience in the technology industry. John C. began their career in 2002 as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they studied the interaction of jets from black holes and the galaxy cluster they reside in. In 2008, they worked as a Scientific Programmer at Wyle Laboratories, where they provided support for NASA's Fermi Gamma Ray Space Telescope. In 2010, they joined Ada Investments as a Research Associate, where they were the primary developer supporting and enhancing the internal software platform for financial modeling and trading. In 2011, they worked as a Data Scientist at Octopart, where they built an analytics environment using Python, MongoDB, and MapReduce for Octopart's search engine.
