Samih Toukan is a Jordanian entrepreneur and technology investor. Samih is the co-founder of Maktoob.com, the world’s first Arabic email service and largest Arab online community, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2009. Samih also co-founded Souq.com, the Arab world’s largest e-commerce site, which was acquired by Amazon in 2017.
After the sale of Souq.com, Samih became a director at Blossom Finance, a social enterprise that uses blockchain technology to provide financing for small businesses in developing countries. Samih is also an active angel investor in a number of technology startups in the Middle East and North Africa.
After completing their BEng in Electrical Engineering from UCL, Samih Toukan went on to do their Masters in Management and International Business from ECOLE HEC France.
