Cassandre Vandamme

Cassandre Vandamme is a marine ecologist currently managing the Thresher shark research study at Blue Alliance Marine Protected Areas, focusing on shark habitat use, coral bleaching monitoring, and the development of rare fish species monitoring methods utilizing underwater cameras and AI. Previous roles include marine ecologist and research diver at Blue Finance, where Cassandre contributed to benthic and fish communities mapping, and as a scientific diver at Indo Ocean Project, specializing in coral identification and restoration. Cassandre has also served as a CMAS dive instructor at Aquatic Rando and worked as an archaezoological researcher with CNRS, studying fish consumption in ancient Rome. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Marine Resources Science Conservation & Innovation at Université Côte d'Azur, Cassandre holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology.
