Kate Calder

Director, Communications, Love Nature & Global Streaming at Blue Ant Media

Kate Calder has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kate started their career in 2001 as an Editor for Manufacturing Automation magazine at CLB Media. In 2002, they worked as a Project Editor at Madison Press Books, handling children's non-fiction books for the US commercial market. From 2003 to 2006, they served as an Associate Editor at Graphic Monthly, North Island Publishing. Kate then transitioned to Brunico Communications where they worked as the Features Editor for KidScreen magazine from 2006 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Corus Entertainment as a Publicist for Television, Kids, and Family until 2015. Kate has since worked at Blue Ant Media, starting as the Communications Manager for Canadian Media and Consumer Shows in 2015. Kate later became the Manager of Global Communications and is currently the Director of Communications for Love Nature & Global Streaming, where they lead the international communications strategy for Love Nature and oversees the B2B communications and publicity for Blue Ant Media's growing global channels business.

Kate Calder has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Guelph. Kate also has a post-graduate diploma in Journalism from Humber College.
