Brian Allanson

CEO & Co-Founder at Blue Apple Contract Catering

Brian is a fully trained chef specialising in classical French cuisine and spent 12 years in high street restaurants before bringing his knowledge of food to contract catering. After forming Blue Apple in 1998 with his friend and business partner Ruston Toms, the company has grown from strength to strength but Brian still remains very much part of the business with his love of food, customer service and attention to detail.

His favourite foods are Tapas style dishes where he can enjoy lots of small platefuls with many different tastes and textures. He also loves hot and spicy food and the occasional Thai meal, while he enjoys cooking freshly prepared food at home using ingredients from his allotment.

Living in Berkshire with his wife and two labradors, Brian enjoys his spare time playing golf with friends, walking the dogs and playing a variety of musical instruments. His proudest moment outside of the business though is seeing his two children carving careers in the two great pleasures of his life, food and golf.

His son is a PGA golf professional and his daughter is a professional food ‘vlogger’!
