Peter Gutman

Peter Gutman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy and investment sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Hartree Partners since August 2024 and Co-Chair of the Advisory Board at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago since October 2023, Peter also holds the position of Chairman of the Investment Committee at Equator. With a long history of advisory roles, Peter has been a Senior Advisor for Blue Bear Capital, an Investor/Director at SteamaCo, and an Investor/Director at SunCulture Kenya Ltd. Previous experience includes Managing Director at Gore Street Capital and a pivotal role as the Global Head of Energy, Resources & Infrastructure at Standard Chartered Bank, overseeing significant principal investments. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MSc from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BSIOE from the University of Michigan.
