Global Head Of Cafe Design And Experience at Blue Bottle Coffee

Cary Cheng has an extensive work experience in the architecture and design industry. Starting in 2001, Cary worked as a Designer/Project Manager at Robinson Hill Architecture. In 2005, Cary joined McCall Design Group as a Senior Project Manager and later became Vice President in 2016. Cary then worked at SPARK Architects as an Associate from 2010 to 2012 before joining Lane Crawford as the Director of Architecture from 2012 to 2015. In 2018, Cary joined Blue Bottle Coffee as the Prototype and Standards Design Manager, and later became the Director of Global Cafe Design - Prototypes and Standards from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Cary serves as the Global Head of Cafe Design and Experience at Blue Bottle Coffee.

Cary Cheng attended the University of Washington from 1996 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture with a minor in Landscape Architecture. They also have an additional certification in LEED from the U.S. Green Building Council.
