Kyle Wiest

Kyle Wiest has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kyle worked at Blue Bottle Coffee from 2018 to the present, starting as a Senior Software Engineer and later becoming the first Principal Software Engineer. In these roles, they led development teams, coordinated with internal teams, and played a key role in deconstructing a legacy monolith into managed services. Prior to that, they founded Camp Registration Systems, LLC in 2009, where they developed and managed a software application for camps and events. Kyle has also worked as an Assistant Camp Director at Manning Passing Academy in 2001 and as a Software Development Engineer at Emberex from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, they have a background in sports management, having served as Associate Athletic Director - Director of Football Operations and Assistant Athletic Director - Director of Football Operations at the University of Oregon from 2013 to 2017.

Kyle Wiest holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Oregon, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics at the University of Oregon from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional in 2023, AWS Learning: Serverless in 2023, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in 2020.
