Jakob Højland

Jakob Højland has a diverse and extensive work experience in the consumer electronics industry. Jakob currently holds the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) & Partner at GreenMind A/S, where they are leading the company's efforts to change the way consumer electronics are bought and used. GreenMind focuses on offering responsible alternatives for buying, selling, and repairing electronics, with a particular emphasis on fighting e-waste. The company has a team of 220 colleagues and 14 stores in Denmark and Sweden.

Prior to their current role, Jakob was the CEO & Partner of GreenMind ApS, which was acquired by Blue City A/S and later rebranded to GreenMind A/S. During their time as CEO, they successfully built the company from two people in an apartment to 60 people across six stores in Denmark.

Before their involvement with GreenMind, Jakob was a partner at iRep.co.uk, where they played a fundamental role in the company. Jakob also co-founded iRep ApS, the first company to offer independent iPhone repair in Denmark. Starting with just two people in an apartment, iRep grew to four stores and 25 employees. The company was later rebranded to GreenMind.

Jakob Højland's education history begins in 2006 when they started attending Virum Gymnasium, where they pursued a degree in STX (Sproglig). Jakob completed their studies in 2009.

In 2017, Jakob enrolled at Copenhagen Business School and pursued a HD (Graduate Diploma) degree in Økonomistyring & Procesledelse (Accounting controls and process management). Jakob completed their studies in 2021.

Alongside their formal education, Jakob also obtained several certifications in related fields. In December 2017, they obtained the "Data Protection Officer" certification from EXIN your ICT competence partner. Jakob also obtained certifications in "Privacy and Data Protection Practitioner - Persondatabeskyttelse med særligt fokus på IT" and "Privacy and Data Protection Foundation - Persondatabeskyttelse med særligt fokus på IT" in December 2017 and September 2017 respectively. In June 2017, Jakob obtained the "ISO 27002 - Information Security Foundation - ISO/IEC 27002" certification, also from EXIN your ICT competence partner.
