Bruce Smith

Bruce Smith has over 36 years of experience in the information technology and project management fields. Currently serving as Department Manager of Application Development at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama since January 2013, Bruce has held various titles, including IT Application Development Manager and Senior Project Manager. Prior to this, Bruce was with AT&T from January 2005 to January 2013, taking on roles such as Senior Technical Director and Senior IT Project Manager. Bruce's career began at BellSouth Telecommunications Inc, where positions included Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Senior Analyst (Developer) from March 1987 to January 2005. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Information Systems from Samford University, completed in 1987.
