Edward Hosp

Edward (Ted) Hosp serves as the Vice President for Governmental Affairs at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama since November 2018, contributing expertise in public policy and regulatory matters. Prior to this role, Ted was the Executive Director of Governmental Affairs at Maynard Cooper & Gale for over fifteen years, where Ted also chaired the Governmental & Regulatory Affairs practice group, representing notable clients such as Wal-Mart and AT&T. Ted’s experience includes serving as a Legal Advisor to the Governor of Alabama and practicing as an Associate Attorney. Educational qualifications include an A.B. in History from Brown University, a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and a Master of Science in Strategic Communications from Troy University. Ted maintains active involvement in various organizations, holding board positions with Legal Services of Alabama, the Children First Foundation, and others.
