Mike Tuma

Mike Tuma is an experienced Behavioral Health Case Manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas since April 2020, previously serving as a Supervisor/Front Line Leader at Humana Government Business from July 2017 to January 2020. At Humana, Mike managed clinical teams and handled escalated cases, collaborating with Chief Medical Officers on complex reviews. With a background in behavioral health management, Mike also held supervisory and advisory roles at Humana Behavioral Health from December 2006 to July 2017, and directed an Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents at STAR Council in 2006. Additionally, Mike coordinated grant activities at the University of Oklahoma and taught various courses as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Central Oklahoma. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University, a Master’s degree in Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor's degree in Music from Oklahoma Baptist University.
