Marcus Smith

Marcus Smith is an experienced IT professional currently serving as Team Lead - Application Development at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas since July 2015. Previously, Marcus held various roles at Payless ShoeSource from 2001 to June 2015, including Sr. Software Engineer, Planner - Supply Chain Systems & Solutions, and Sr. Programmer Analyst, where responsibilities included configuring and installing Warehouse Management Systems and providing onsite support. Marcus began as a Programmer/Analyst and progressed through four levels, contributing to all phases of the system development lifecycle in support of merchandising, sourcing, and logistics functions. Marcus earned a degree in Computer Information Systems with a focus on Computer Programming from Emporia State University between 1996 and 2000.
