Anita L Phillips

Anita L Phillips has extensive experience in learning and development, with a current role as Principal Learning and Development Advisor at Blue Cross NC since January 2013. Previously, Anita has held positions ranging from Corporate Trainer to Sr. Enterprise Learning and Development Advisor, where responsibilities included conducting training programs for various levels of staff and collaborating with management to schedule these initiatives. Anita began their career at Blue Cross NC as a Claims Processor and as an IPP Clerk, where roles involved processing claims, managing provider data, and ensuring compliance with business regulations. Before joining Blue Cross NC, Anita worked as a Teacher's Aide at Excel Christian Academy from August 2006 to June 2009, supporting classroom instruction and managing daily schedules. Anita holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Early Childhood Education from Wake Technical Community College and is currently pursuing additional education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, set to complete studies in December 2025.
