Derrick Golden

Derrick Golden has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies. Derrick began their career at Lockheed Martin Energy Systems as an Accountant, where they performed analysis of financial processes and supported the development and administration of the Task Based Management System. Derrick then moved on to Sara Lee Branded Apparel as a Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst, where they managed cash functions and implemented the letter of credit process. At Sara Lee, they also worked as an Internal Consultant, managing the implementation of the Lawson ERP system modules and overseeing project life cycles. Derrick later joined Sara Lee Business Services as a Project Manager, responsible for reengineering business processes and delivering best practice solutions. Currently, they are working at Blue Cross NC, where they have held various roles including Director, Sr. Manager, and Manager in the Provider Network Pricing and Expense Analysis department. Additionally, they have experience as a Manager of Financial Systems, responsible for the development and support of systems solutions for the Financial Services and Treasury departments. Throughout their career, Derrick has demonstrated expertise in project management, process improvement, and financial analysis.

Derrick Golden obtained an MBA in Finance from the American University - Kogod School of Business from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from The University of Memphis and Memphis State University, both from 1988 to 1992.

In terms of additional certifications, Derrick Golden obtained the following: A2E Business Fundamentals, Management Accelerator Program, Business Strategy, and Problem Solving from McKinsey & Company in 2021. Derrick also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in 2005.
