Phillip Edwards has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Phillip began their career as a Statistician II at Employment Security Commission in 1995, working until 1997. Phillip then joined Blue Cross NC in 1997 and held various roles, including Analyst II/ Lead Analyst/Team Lead, Manager Analytics, and Principle Strategic Advisor. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Senior Consultant, focusing on healthcare reimbursement and strategy. Phillip was recognized for their work in implementing the Accountable Care Alliance in Wilmington, NC. In 2016, they became Manager, Provider Network, and in 2018, they transitioned to the role of Director, Provider Business Analysis. Throughout their career, Phillip has been involved in analyzing and implementing value-based reimbursement arrangements, collaborating with Blue Plans nationwide, and developing new product strategies. Phillip has also been a mentor to new staff and actively volunteers to educate consumers about the Affordable Care Act and healthcare reform.
