Tunde Sotunde

Tunde Sotunde is the President and CEO Elect at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Tunde was previously the President, Medicaid Business Unit at Anthem, Inc. from April 2018 to May 2020. Prior to that, they served as the President, North Region Medicaid at Anthem from August 2013 to March 2018.

Before joining Anthem, Sotunde was the President & Chief Executive Officer at Amerigroup Georgia from July 2008 to August 2013. Tunde was responsible for the business and financial operations of Amerigroup in the State of Georgia.

Sotunde began their career in 2001 as a Regional Vice-President at UnitedHealthcare. In 2007, they left to join The Little Clinic (Solera Capital) as their Chief Medical Officer. Tunde was responsible for medical staff operations, quality assurance, new product development, managed care contracting and regulatory affairs.

Sotunde has a long history of leadership and experience in the healthcare industry. Tunde is a strong advocate for access to quality healthcare for all and is committed to their work at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Tunde Sotunde received an MBA from The University of Memphis, a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Ibadan, and did a Pediatrics Residency Program at Howard University Hospital.
