Amanda Schwartz

Amanda Schwartz, MPS, serves as the Executive Director of Federal & Political Affairs at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association since March 2022, leading a team of lobbyists and PAC professionals. Prior to this role, Amanda held various positions at the American Society of Clinical Oncology from 2009 to March 2022, including Senior Director and Director of Congressional Affairs, where responsibilities encompassed government relations and advocacy for cancer-related legislative priorities. Earlier experience includes roles at the American Heart Association as an intern and as a Legislative Aide in the Virginia General Assembly. Amanda Schwartz earned a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wake Forest University.
