Eric Pender

Eric Pender has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in analytics and data science. Eric is currently serving as the Vice President of Analytics and Data Science at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona since June 2021. Prior to this, Eric held various leadership positions in different companies. From November 2014 to June 2021, they worked at Trinity Health (HQ Michigan) as the VP of Payer Analytics Actuarial Services. In this role, they led the analytics team responsible for FFS contract modeling, population health analytics, and actuarial services. Before that, from March 2007 to November 2014, they served as the VP of Medical Economics at Cigna-HealthSpring, where they played a crucial role in the growth of the Medicare Advantage plan. Eric helped increase revenue from $300 million to $2 billion and EBITDA from $0 to $100 million+. Eric also worked at Health Net as a Manager of Medical Economics from November 2003 to March 2007 and at PacifiCare as a Manager of Medical Economics from 1997 to 2004.

Eric Pender earned a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University, specializing in Accounting, between 1991 and 1995.
