Janice L. Smith

Janice L. Smith is an experienced finance and advisory professional with a strong background in enterprise risk management and control governance. Currently serving as Finance Director for Process Governance & Enterprise Controls and Systems & Operations at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan since August 2017, Janice has also held the position of Executive Director in Advisory Services at Ernst & Young LLP from December 1998 to April 2017. In this role, Janice led business and IT advisory consulting, focusing on strategic development and implementation to achieve operational and control objectives, utilizing frameworks such as COBiT and Sarbanes-Oxley 404. Janice holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wayne State University.
