Jennifer Coon

Jennifer Coon is a seasoned professional in tax and accounting policy with extensive experience in audit management and assurance services. Currently serving as the Manager of Tax and Accounting Policy at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan since July 2018, Jennifer oversees the Accounting Policy department and supports the Corporate tax department by ensuring compliance and appropriate accounting treatment. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Manager at Metzler Locricchio Serra & Co. PC, where management of audit engagements and quality control was key, and Senior Manager - Assurance at Derderian, Kann, Seyferth & Salucci, PC, focusing on enhancing audit efficiency. Previous positions at Clayton & McKervey, P.C. and Rehmann involved managing major audit engagements and addressing audit risk effectively. Jennifer's career began with roles at Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where expertise in expatriate tax matters was developed. An alumnus of Wayne State University, Jennifer holds a BS in Accounting.
