Elaine Alderdice, CMA, MBA, has a diverse work experience in the field of cost management and accounting. Elaine started their career at Oxford Health Plans in 1997 as a Customer Service Associate and later became a Resolution Analyst. In 2001, they joined Devine Millimet & Branch as a Senior Accounting Consultant before moving on to Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. At Blue Cross & Blue Shield, they progressed through various roles, including Cost Accountant II, Supervisor Cost Accounting, Manager of Cost Accounting, Director Cost Analysis & Budgets, and currently holds the position of Managing Director of Cost Management. Elaine's career has been marked by their expertise in cost analysis and budgeting, making their a valuable asset in managing and optimizing costs for organizations.

Elaine Alderdice, CMA, MBA, obtained their Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Global MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Prior to their MBA, they completed their undergraduate studies at the same institution from 1999 to 2003, earning a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.

In addition to their formal education, Elaine Alderdice has obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional skills. In January 2015, they became a Certified Management Accountant through the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants. In August 2020, they completed the course "Beyond the Basics: Data Analytics and Visualization for Accounting Professionals" offered by the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Elaine further expanded their knowledge in data analytics and visualization by obtaining the IMA Data Analytics & Visualization Fundamentals Certificate and IMA's RPA Series certifications in December 2020, both offered by the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants.
