Michael Israelite

Michael Israelite is Principal at MAI Career Coaching, LLC in Westerly, R.I., a firm focused on helping early and mid-career individuals to achieve their professional objectives. Mr. Israelite enjoyed a distinguished career in the insurance business. Mr. Israelite spent 8 years at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan in Oakland, Calif., where he served as Vice President for claims performance and strategy.

Prior to working at Kaiser, Mr. Israelite was Senior Director for commercial business sector product and marketing at Blue Shield of California in San Francisco and he also spent more than two decades at CIGNA Corporation, where his roles included Vice President for group insurance product management and development, Vice President for global customer service operations at CIGNA International, and Vice President for employer account services, Vice President and PPO product manager, and Assistant Vice President for product management and development at CIGNA HealthCare.

Mr. Israelite earned his JD from Woodrow Wilson College of Law in Atlanta and his bachelor’s in political science from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. He is a retired member of the U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Israelite was elected to the Blue Cross Board of Directors in September 2016.
