Thomas R. Sommerfield is the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Blue Hills Bank. Sommerfield has over a decade of experience in the financial industry, including a previous position as Director at Spring Street Capital, LLC from June 2009 to March 2011. At Spring Street Capital, Sommerfield was responsible for purchasing distressed debt of middle-market companies with balance sheets $1BN or less, or portfolios of debt of larger sizes.

Sommerfield's experience and expertise in risk management has been a valuable asset to Blue Hills Bank, helping the company navigate through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic downturn.
