Slaven Moro

Slaven Moro serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Blue Marble Communications Inc. since July 2021, following a brief tenure as a Network Development Engineer at Amazon. Prior to Amazon, Slaven Moro held multiple roles at Facebook from June 2015 to April 2021, including Product Manager and Project Engineering Lead for Facebook Connectivity, focusing on satellite communication system architecture and product design in optical and radio-frequency communications. Slaven Moro's earlier experience includes a role as Principal Research Scientist at General Atomics, specializing in high-energy laser design and LIDAR systems, and as Senior Research Scientist at Ziva Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed optical encryption systems and signal processing. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Photonics/Optoelectronics from UC San Diego, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the same institution in related fields.
