William Buster

William Buster has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. William currently serves as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Blue Ocean Barns since May 2023. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Business Intelligence and Financial Planning & Analysis at Rewiring America, a nonprofit organization focused on electrifying households. William previously worked as an Analyst at Morgan Stanley and held the role of Director of Finance and Operations at University Incubator for eight years. William also worked as a Business Practice Manager at First Republic Private Wealth Management and as an Analyst at Merrill Lynch, where they provided financial advice and execution support to private clients. Additionally, William has experience as a Financial Analyst at UC Berkeley and Houlihan Lokey. Earlier in their career, they served as a Program Manager at BOOST (Previously Young Entrepreneurs at Haas), where they coached students on business plans and case competitions, and as a Private Equity Associate at The BearFund, where they evaluated potential acquisitions.

William Buster obtained a Diploma in General Education from San Dieguito High School Academy in 2007. William then attended MiraCosta College from 2007 to 2009, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in University Studies with a focus on Business Administration. In 2009, William enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where they pursued a double major. William completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration at the Haas School of Business, and simultaneously earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.

Additionally, William obtained several certifications throughout their career. In August 2011, they obtained the Series 63: Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). In July 2014, they earned the Open Water Diver certification from Scuba Schools International. In June 2017, they obtained the Series 7: General Securities Representative certification and the Series 66: Uniform Combined State Law Examination certification, both from FINRA. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the National Conflict Resolution Center, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
