Alec Coburn

Alec Coburn is a seasoned aerospace systems engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer at Blue Origin since April 2022, Alec previously held significant roles at United Launch Alliance (ULA) from May 2016 to April 2022, including Project Manager for Enterprise Applications and Systems Engineer, where leadership in integration efforts for government and commercial programs was emphasized. Alec’s engineering expertise also includes a tenure as a Lead Mechanical Engineer/Designer at Helopak Inc., where innovative helicopter blade restraint systems were developed, and project lead for structural analysis at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation, supporting the nuclear navy. Earlier roles at Cobham and Wyzant involved mechanical engineering design and tutoring across various subjects, respectively. Alec holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
