Alexander Weldon

Alexander Weldon serves as the Director of Engines Materials & Processes at Blue Origin, leading the Materials & Processes organization supporting a range of engine programs. Prior roles at Blue Origin include Senior Manager positions focusing on materials development for various engines, as well as managing a diverse team devoted to research and implementation of materials for both engines and launch vehicles. Previous experience includes critical roles at Firefly Space Systems, where Alexander managed manufacturing and materials processes, and conducted significant research during a postdoctoral fellowship at Lehigh University. Alexander holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.
