Arlin Nelson

Arlin Nelson is a seasoned aerospace engineering professional with extensive experience in structural testing and engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Test Engineer (Technical Fellow) at Blue Origin since November 2020, Arlin specializes in best practices for physical testing of aerospace structures, including calibration, test setup, troubleshooting, safety, and data execution. In February 2024, Arlin established Aerospace Structural Testing Consulting LLC, with plans to shift focus toward consulting on aerospace structural testing challenges. Prior experience includes roles as a System Integration Engineer at MTS Systems Corp from 1997 to 2020, a Test Engineer at Bombardier Aerospace Learjet Inc from 1995 to 1997, and a Test Engineer at Boeing from 1989 to 1995. Arlin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Aeronautical Engineering, from the University of California, Davis.
