Charles Hirst

Charles Hirst currently serves as the Director of Engines, Propulsion & Fluid Systems at Blue Origin since January 2024, having also held the position of Engineering Production Liaison Leader. Prior to this, Charles Hirst amassed extensive experience at Aerojet Rocketdyne from February 2001 to January 2024, where roles included Senior Manager for Defense Chief Engineering and Senior Manager for Rocket Shop Strategic & Tactical Systems Chief Engineering, along with other engineering and management positions. Earlier in the career, Charles Hirst worked as a Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer at Composite Engineering, Inc. Charles Hirst's educational background includes post-graduate studies in Engineering (Mechanical Design) at California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Redlands.
