Doug Ellett

Doug Ellett is an experienced avionics systems engineer currently employed at Blue Origin as an Avionics Systems Engineer III since April 2019. Prior to this, Doug held the position of System Integrated Product Team Lead at Collins Aerospace, overseeing the Electric Power Generation System for a regional jet aircraft and managing customer relationships and program risks. Doug's previous experience includes serving as Lead Systems Engineer at UTC Aerospace Systems, where responsibilities encompassed leading a team in Safety of Flight testing and managing systems requirements. Doug's engineering career began at Hamilton Sundstrand as a co-op engineer, and Doug has also held roles in customer services, sports maintenance, and maintenance of exercise equipment. Doug holds an MBA in Leadership and Change Management and Applied Economics from DePaul University and a BSEE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Marquette University.
