Sam Byer

Sam Byer is a propulsion engineer specializing in combustion devices at Blue Origin since September 2022. Prior experience includes working as a mechanical engineer at Raytheon Technologies from July 2017 to July 2022. Sam's internship experience at NASA involved the design of special test equipment for rocket components in 2016 and rocket propulsion test design and analysis in 2015, contributing to critical ground testing and performance predictions. Additionally, during a cooperative education position at UTC Aerospace Systems in 2014, quality engineering support was provided, ensuring quality objectives through inspection processes. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota, earned in 2017, and graduated from Watertown High School in 2012.
