Stephen Johnson

Stephen Johnson is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in vehicle configuration and systems engineering, currently serving as the Vehicle Configuration Team Lead for Blue Origin’s Blue Ring project. Since November 2018, Stephen has successfully managed cross-subsystem interfaces, developed a 1D thermal analysis tool, and implemented configuration management procedures, among other key responsibilities. Prior roles at Blue Origin include Aerospace Systems Engineer III and II, where Stephen contributed to in-space mobility projects and advanced development concepts. Previous experience includes positions at Aerojet Rocketdyne and Olivet Nazarene University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Olivet Nazarene University. Stephen has demonstrated leadership and technical expertise in various engineering roles, contributing to projects like the BE-4 engine and RS-25 rocket nozzle.
