Steven Doan

Steven Doan is a seasoned aerospace and engineering professional with a diverse background in project management and operational leadership. Currently serving as a Launch Vehicle Manager at Blue Origin since June 2023, Steven oversees technical projects within New Shepard Operations and Maintenance, ensuring the flight readiness of the human-rated crew capsule, "RSS First Step." Previously, at Boeing from November 2022 to June 2023, Steven held the position of Project Engineer within Safety, Certification, and Quality Integration. From September 2021 to October 2022, Steven was Operations Manager at Sea-Bird Scientific, directing the manufacturing and testing of precision oceanographic sensors. Steven's career began in the US Navy, where responsibilities included serving as Nuclear Submarine Officer aboard USS Kentucky, focusing on operations and maintenance coordination. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and completed Nuclear Power School at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command.
