Yash Mehta

Yash Mehta is a seasoned professional in the field of aerospace engineering and human factors, currently serving as a System Engineer for New Glenn Customer Certification at Blue Origin since September 2025. Mehta is also a Ph.D. candidate at the Florida Institute of Technology, specializing in safety modeling and analysis for human spaceflight missions. Extensive experience includes leadership roles at Amentum and Jacobs, where responsibilities encompassed systems engineering and integration for NASA's Mobile Launcher 2 project, focusing on human rating and operational improvements. Past positions include business analyst and human factors engineer roles at Plenar Technologies and doctodoor, alongside research contributions at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory on human-systems integration for the Mars 2020 mission. Mehta holds a Ph.D. in Human-Centered Design, a Master's degree in Aeronautics, and has co-developed an undergraduate program in Commercial Spaceflight Operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
