Mauricio Marquez

Mauricio Marquez has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Mauricio began their career as a Support staff at the Secretaría de Contraloría Municipal in 2011. Mauricio then worked as an Intern at the Consejo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Hidalgo in 2014, followed by a position as a Project Manager at the National Innovation Institute of Textile and Apparel Industry. In 2016, Mauricio served as an Intern at the Young Americas Business Trust and later became a Project Manager at CITNOVA. Mauricio co-founded Gestion e Innovación Urbana and worked as an Entrepreneur from 2018 to 2020.

Mauricio's role as a Project Management Lead/Director at the Council of Science Technology and Innovation, Hidalgo State started in 2017 and continued until 2022. Mauricio also worked as a Comissioned Director/Project Manager at GOBIERNO DEL ESTADO DE HIDALGO from 2022 to 2023, where they focused on coordinating data science projects and developing documents to support public policy.

Currently, Mauricio is a Program Manager at Blue People, where their responsibilities include business analysis, quality assurance activities, and project management for software and IT product implementation across multiple industry branches.

Mauricio Marquez's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo and completed a degree in Industrial Engineering in 2013. In 2014, they participated in a short training program in Innovation Management at the Cámara Nacional de Manufacturas Eléctricas (CANAME).

In 2015, Mauricio pursued a specialization in Innovation Strategic Management and Industrial Property at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, which they completed in 2016. During the same year, they also obtained a Certificate in Internship and Academic Seminars from The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.

Moving forward to 2021, Mauricio attended Tilburg University and completed a Pre-Master program in Data Science and Society. Mauricio continued their studies at Tilburg University, starting the Msc Data Science and Society in 2021, which they are expected to finish in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Mauricio has obtained several additional certifications. Mauricio achieved the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in May 2023. In June 2021, they obtained the Innovation and Business Plan Mentor certification from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Mauricio also completed an introduction to R course from DataCamp in February 2021 and became a CEFE Mentor certified by CEFE International in June 2019. Furthermore, they received an IELTS 7.0 Overall Band Score certification from the British Council in September 2019.
