Allen Funk

Allen is currently CFO of Bright Power, Inc. a New York-based Energy Management, Sustainability and Solar Installation company. Prior to Bright Power, Allen served two years as COO of Sol-Wind, LLC, responsible for day-to-day planning, the firm’s Investment Committee approval process and also for pulling together the financial audits and pro formas for a $450 Million solar and wind energy portfolio. Prior to joining Sol-Wind, Mr. Funk spent 20+ years as president and general manager of a subsidiary for The Washington Post Company. In his last assignment, Funk served 10 years as President and Publisher of The Daily Herald in Everett WA with direct responsibility for all news-gathering and business operations. Mr. Funk is also President of Steady Hand Advisors LLC, his own consulting company, and has spent the past 5 years working with small New York-based technology, energy, media and private equity clients in a variety of roles, including as interim CFO, operations support, process improvement and audit support.

Funk is a graduate of Harvard Business School (with honors) and of Stanford University (with distinction) with degrees in Economics and Political Science.
