Bill Heck

VP, Engineering at Blue Planet Funding

Mr. Heck served in this role at Sol-Wind from March 2014 to February 2015. Mr. Heck led all due diligence and field reviews for projects under consideration for Sol-Wind’s final S-1 portfolio.

Prior to Sol-Wind, Mr. Heck served as Vice President responsible for Sales and Development for SolFocus, Inc., a venture capital funded CPV equipment manufacturer with deployments in the US, Mexico, Korea and Europe. Prior to SolFocus Bill served as VP of Development for Cogentrix Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Goldman Sachs Group and was responsible for the development of utility scale public and private sites. Previously Mr. Heck was Renewable Energy Director for Nevada Power Company and Sierra Pacific Power Company. In this role Mr. Heck was responsible for compliance with Nevada and California portfolio standards.

Mr. Heck has led greenfield solar development efforts from land acquisition and project proposal formulation, through negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements and solar field supply contracts. Mr. Heck has negotiated complex multi-party contracts and workouts. In addition Mr. Heck has also procured over 3 billion dollars of renewable energy on the behalf of utilities and offered expert testimony before regulatory agencies.

Mr. Heck received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from College Misericordia and Juris Doctorate from the University of Nevada - Boyd School of Law.
