Dave Kraft has a strong background in the food industry, having worked at various positions within Sysco and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Dave currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Prior to this, they held the role of President at Sysco Virginia, LLC for over a decade. During their tenure, they successfully implemented multiple corporate initiatives and built and led a team of executives. Before that, they served as the Sr Vice President of Sales and Executive Vice President at Sysco Cleveland, Inc., where they were responsible for shaping and executing the sales vision of the organization. Dave also held the position of Vice President of Sales at Sysco Virginia, LLC, where they implemented key changes and programs across all local sales positions. Earlier in their career, Dave worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Sysco Intermountain, Inc., overseeing a team and ensuring the achievement of annual profit plan growth numbers. Overall, Dave Kraft possesses extensive experience in various leadership roles within the food industry.
From 1984 to 1989, Dave Kraft attended the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. Dave pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
Founded in 1981, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is the largest organization alleviating hunger in western and central Virginia. Headquartered in Verona, VA, we serve neighbors in need in 25 counties and nine cities through distribution centers in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Winchester and Verona. We distribute nearly 22 million pounds of food annually to 109,500 people each month through a network of more than 400 community partners – food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, schools, churches and other non-profit groups.
