As the Director of Philanthropy at Blue Ridge Health since June 2015, Kathryn oversees all fundraising initiatives while advocating for accessible and affordable healthcare across nine counties. Prior to this, Kathryn served as the Vice President of Community Philanthropy at the Community Foundation of Henderson County from February 1993 to June 2015, providing vital support for board meetings, managing grantmaking programs, and fostering community relations. Earlier in Kathryn's career, the role of Director of the Volunteer Center at United Way of Henderson County was held from 1985 to 1991, where daily agency operations and staff supervision were managed. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Early Childhood Education from Meredith College and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Peace College.
