Eric H. Chen

Eric H. Chen is a highly experienced family physician and educator currently serving as the Billing & Coding Physician Lead at UNC Health Blue Ridge since November 2020, concurrently practicing as a family physician. With a strong academic background, Eric held positions as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at both Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute from 2014 to November 2020, contributing significantly to the training of osteopathic and allopathic medical students. Prior experience includes core faculty roles at Carilion Clinic's Family Medicine Residency Program, where Eric practiced full-scope family medicine, and an FM-OB Fellowship providing comprehensive medical care in a diverse community. Eric's medical education culminated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at William & Mary.
