Bokai Zhang has a diverse range of experience in machine learning and computer vision. Bokai began their career as a Machine Learning and Computer Vision Co-op at Jack Cooper Transport & Logistics, where they proposed and built machine learning models for analyzing fuel gauge readings and odometer readings from dashboard images. Bokai also deployed deep learning models into production and improved the accuracy rate to 98%.
Bokai then joined Johnson & Johnson as a Computer Vision Engineer, where they designed and applied deep learning and computer vision algorithms to analyze surgical images and videos. Bokai built several computer vision models and deployed six of them into production. Bokai also supported the annotation team and project management team to ensure effective and efficient annotation processes.
Later, Bokai advanced to the role of Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, where they developed state-of-the-art deep learning models for surgical workflow recognition based on surgical videos. Bokai proposed different post-processing algorithms and data sampling techniques to improve performance. Bokai also contributed to building and expanding deep learning and computer vision capabilities in image classification and video action recognition.
Most recently, Bokai joined Blue River Technology as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. The details of their responsibilities and accomplishments in this role are not provided.
Bokai Zhang completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Wuhan University from 2012 to 2016. Bokai then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2016 and 2018.
